Providing services to adults affected by mental illness in North-Simcoe
BRIEF SERVICE
Wendat’s brief services program provides a broad range of immediate, short-term help and support to anyone aged 16+ with mental illness. Service usually consists of 1-3 office visits but this varies based on client need. Types of assistance offered includes assistance connecting with ODSP, OW, and PGT, assistance with ODSP eligibility reviews, problem solving, information, linkages/referrals to other services, etc. Assistance provided to navigate local housing resources. Assistance maintaining housing.
Our Team: The Brief Service worker delivers this program and is a Registered Social Service Worker.
Eligibility Criteria: Services are available to individuals with mental illness as well as those affected by mental illness such as caregivers, family members and landlords.
Hours of Service:
- The brief service worker’s hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
How to Apply/Who can Refer:
- Individuals can self-refer, be referred by another service, family member, hospital, etc.
- There is no waiting list for this program
